And we are never ‘taught’ how to choose partners for happiness – we rely on our instincts (which usually don’t serve us), social media, Hollywood, and lots of ‘urban folklore’ to guide us. We do not want your divorcing clients to repeat the same mistakes, and we will share important information so that you can support your clients when this may come up in your conversations with them. Bela Gandhi is a top dating and relationship expert who founded the Smart Dating Academy, helping busy and successful professionals jumpstart their dating lives. She has been featured in various national and local media outlets, such as Good Morning America, Steve Harvey, and The Today Show, among others.

After earning dual degrees in Finance and German from the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign, Gandhi worked in mergers and acquisitions for Arthur Andersen in Chicago for a year before joining her family's chemicals manufacturing company, CCC. She later became the Global Vice President of Housewares for Akzo Nobel Non-Stick Coating after the Gandhi family sold CCC to a Fortune 500 company.

Despite her successful corporate career, Gandhi realized her passion for matchmaking and providing dating advice. She launched Smart Dating Academy in 2009, which has become one of the nation's top date coaching firms. The program teaches clients to navigate the ever-changing world of online and in-person dating and become personal trainers for their love lives.

SDA's coaching program is results-oriented and fun, helping clients clarify who is right for them, stop old dating patterns, and use technology the right way. Bela attends numerous weddings and "loves love," which reflects her success in helping clients become positive and enthusiastic about dating and relationships again, ultimately finding love.
